Fate of the Trinity pirates by evelmiina Fate of the Trinity pirates by evelmiina
Long before birth of the hero of the wind, a small group of pirates became notorious for their hunt of what was known as golden triumph forks. They were fearsome, for they used whatever means, once they got a whiff of the prize. Some thought, that gods themselves punished them for their arrogance. However it was, they perished at the sea.

A bit of this and that, I thought itíd be interesting if it was their ship that is the ghost ship in the wind waker. Even after their death, the ship wanders about carrying the memory of their failed mission. As for their looks, I thought itís interesting contradiction that they resemble the three goddesses, but whether they actually are their incarnations or not, who knows.

It's actually a piece I made for History of Hyrule contest by #TheHistoryofHyrule but since mine is just heavily made up, not sure if it quite fits. Had fun imagining it, though :)

This is seriously awesome. The actual Zelda series itself can do with more things like this

Aaahh it's you! I hope you keep uploading your art to dA, I really like your stuff. I actually rushed with the deadline too, even though there was plenty of time. I just keep sinking in with other work, but luckily I made it. And got a spot in calendar after all aaa. Thanks! <:

I absolutely love this. Your graphic style really shines, and I love the concept; I always found the Ghost Ship a fascinating inclusion in TWW, and I would eagerly believe that this is the true history behind it. I really like the colors, with all the dark blues and purples in the background to give it a stormy atmosphere, with some bright hues to bring it to life. I really love the shapes you've used, especially the way you've drawn the wild crashing waves and the Big Octo. It's really cool to see that monster at that angle, latching onto the ship while still half submerged. I like how the ship is tilted, buoyed by the rocking waves, and the designs for the pirates are cool; I like how they're carrying weapons from the games, and how the center one is wearing the Triforce necklace, as well as how the shading on them makes them look like they're lit by one of the lightning flashes from the bolts striking down around them.

Congratulations on the well-deserved win!

ahhh it's silly that I am bit excited about my own fan-made idea, but, it was fun! I guess that's really cool about Zelda, that there are all kind of details and elements in the fictive history of Hyrule, that you can fill in with your imagination. Thank you for the feedback <:

I really love the movement in this piece! I find that they also kind of resemble Saria, Nayboru(?), and Ruto as well!
