Odin and his eight-legged horse Sleipnir. Two ravens are called Hugin and Munin (means 'thought' and 'memory' according to wikipedia). Each day Odin sends them across the world to gather information and they tell him everything they've heard and seen.
I've always found it difficult to take things from two different eras, let alone cultures, and put them together in one picture. The japanese style and coloring with a celtic god and his horse is pretty amazing. I love both forms of art and that it was brought together makes me amazed. Odin as a samurai makes it look pretty awesome and the barding on the horse is distinctly asian. The amount of action this picture displays without violence is clearly a shot at how good your art is and how deeply it impacts. I think I agree with everyone here, it totally rocks!
Great drawing, it's quite dynamic and I really love the colors! Something about the drawings reminds me Hokusai, maybe because of the lines of the horse's legs, and the horse itself reminds me of the demonish creatures in some of his drawings. His gaze has something frigtening, and I love the fact that he has 8 legs!
