Princess in the North by evelmiina Princess in the North by evelmiina
I was just doodling but suddenly couldn't resist adding some extra fancy! Too bad it's not so long since I made Skyward Sword Zelda set but, perhaps I doodle some other characters in similar manner too.

Photoshop CS5 with some touches from InDesign & Illustrator

Uu~ I can imagine that sword/wand being like Wind Wakers cousin or something. It probably slashes with wind when you hit with it or at least makes strong gusts~ xD

So cool~

That's neat idea! I took inspiration from wind waker's design but didn't put much thought to it. Wind sword would be wicked awesome.

If they ever make a game where you play as Zelda, I hope they do a design along these lines. She looks ready for anything.

I find that interesting to see her under this day. I have to say that I like very much his side warrior.

Such a cool spin on the design. You do such a great job keeping the elements that obviously make it zelda, but giving it a unique look that has never been seen before. This style is interesting too, it has a nice energy to it.

Thanks! It's funny how I've seen some warrior/zombie/etc Zelda re-designs before, but all of them were so eager to ditch her pink dress :'D personally I find it interesting to start designing from such contrasting piece of cloth and try showing other sides of color pink, it's not necessarily so feminine or cute. This was also fun to do, it's nice to notice I've gotten faster and more comfortable with digital tools. And, perhaps finding some direction of style that doesn't feel like too heavily influenced by styles and tricks of other digital artists or what I've learned from tutorials.
