For some reason I was drawing floating rocks and between them were some magnetic gravity orbs. It was sort of drawing that I just followed to see where it leads, that's usually when and why I draw canines and dragons because they're fun and easy :') I get the feeling the little guy is bit of loner, maybe a sorcerer.

Kind of reminds me of the video for Fleet Foxes' "The Shrine/An Argument".

It's reall good, but i think it would look more impressing if the blue surrounding the orb was a little brighter... light-like. Also, since it's obviously illuminating the stone that's uppon it, shouldn't the light be a lot more stonger on the base too?

Anyways, it's a cool piece. Love the wolf's mad eyes and the other... thing's expressionless face. Good contrast.

it's true, the light isn't very natural looking, in fact the orb and light look pretty flat, so I get what you mean. On the other hand I liked how it looked so weird and unnatural, but it might be better as you described.
