Felt like painting today, I rewatched some Parallel gurrens yesterday and was instantly inspired haha
dhurr hurr guess what I made this on A3 canvas huhu !
You can see Kaminas dazzling belly button there bacause I kinda forgot he had bandages around the waistline too. oops. Umm yeah and Simons expression is just...intense :'D
First of all I think this is a brilliant piece of artwork with well-used colors and a magnificent representation of the two brothers within it. However I can find a few little things here and there I don't necessarily find so stunning.
For instance when every part of the piece swirls with colors that display the tones of war and conflict (I personally love how the capes are painted) it seems as if the artist left out a piece of Kamina's cape (upper part, around the middle) and painted it a plain red. The piece seems to call for it, and its just one thing. Also, the bandages Simone (don't harass me too much for spelling) has on his abs seem to cut off unnaturally around his body. However its a small flaw. Also Simone's expression could use a bit of touching up as well. To me the face seems a tad off.
All in all, I believe its a well done piece of artwork and a great adaptation of the show's two male protagonists!
